Activism and Allyship: Uncovering Meaningful Possibilities in Your Community
5/17/25 9:00 -11:00AM
The fourth goal of Anti-Bias Education states that “each child will demonstrate empowerment and the skills to act, with others or alone, against prejudice and/or discriminatory actions.” Ensuring that all the children in our care feel respected and safe requires educators to become allies: partners in empowerment who speak out against injustice and support marginalized groups and individuals on their own terms. How can we navigate the complexities of allyship in and out of the classroom? What does it take to become an effective ally? Our goal is that you leave this session inspired and equipped with concrete strategies to make a difference in your classrooms, workplaces, and communities.
