Teaching Pyramid Going Deeper- The Relationship Between Temperament and Behavior

May 3 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

The Relationship Between Temperament and Behavior

We are excited to bring this “Going Deeper” training to the City! For anyone who has been
trained in the CA Teaching Pyramid, this workshop focuses on understanding the nine
temperament traits first described by Alexander Thomas and Stella Chess. Learning about
temperament traits can lead to a better understanding of a child’s internal drive for some
behaviors. We will explore temperament from a variety of perspectives:
o Looking at temperament across cultures.
o Adult temperament and “Goodness of Fit”.
o Personality and temperament.
o Strategies that support children who have temperament characteristics that might be seen
as “difficult”.
o How understanding temperament can help children thrive.
Attend either Friday or Saturday. Handouts will be provided, but feel free to bring your
Teaching Pyramid binder with you and come with your colleagues! Be sure to register so that
you get the materials and breakfast! Parking information shared after registration.
**Registration ends on April 23rd to allow us time to order materials.**
