From Babbling to Talking Leaping into Literacy with: Infant, Toddlers, and Preschoolers (English)

Come join us in transforming our classrooms into language-rich environments where all languages are celebrated and children are given many opportunities to explore ways to use language to understand and “read” the world. We will share with others how you form partnerships with families, so they too, become aware of the linguist they are giving their children as they talk, sing, and share stories. Some of the things we learn:

• We will learn about the acquisition of language.
• Share strategies to support oral language.
• Discuss ways to engage with children in meaningful conversations. 4. Discover Developmentally Appropriate ways to encourage literacy practices. Review current ECE tools such as(CA Foundations, DRDP, The CA California Framework, CLASS, etc.
