Uncovering Black Joy will cover the following topics.

  1. Understanding and responding to issues of racism and injustice in ECE programs.
  1. Understand the urgency to support and uplift Black children in ECE settings.
  1. Connecting and relating to Black families in meaningful, supportive ways.
  1. Disrupting the “Status Quo” to support the learning/development for Black children.
  2. Understanding biases, reflecting on upbringing/experiences, understanding social intersectionality, and cultivating empowering narratives.
Must have taken Implicit Bias – Do No Harm

About this event

This series will take place from Feb 2026- March 2026. Please be sure to check the dates to confirm that you will be able to attend ALL Training sessions. PLC sessions are optional.

Training – Saturdays at 10am – 12 noon :

UBJ 1: Saturday February 7th
