Participants will:

1. Gain a deeper understanding about language acquisition
2. Discuss the connection between language and culture
3. Identify best practices to enhance oral language and literacy skills for our young Dual Language Leaners
4. Share strategies to engage with diverse families
5. Plan for individual language needs in their classrooms
6. Create a “language plan” for their classroom
7. Practice ways to engage children even when you don’t speak their language
