The Doris Duke Charitable Foundation funded the original research with the Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP)\u00a0in 2003. The Doris Duke Charitable Foundation also funded the Alliance to engage its network of state children\u2019s trust funds to demonstrate unique and innovative ways to implement the protective factors framework.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Strengthening Families\u2122 Protective Factor Framework includes the following five protective factors:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Parental Resilience<\/p>\n<p>Social Connections<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development<\/p>\n<p>Concrete Support in Times of Need<\/p>\n<p>Social and Emotional Competence of Children<\/p>\n<p><strong>Three 2-hour sessions in November:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thursday 11\/02 5:30PM-7:30PM<br \/>\nThursday 11\/09 5:30PM-7:30PM<br \/>\nThursday 11\/16 5:30PM-7:30PM<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>STRENGTHENING FAMILIES\u00a0BY BUILDING PROTECTIVE FACTORS TRAINING Join facilitators Cindy Reyes &amp;
